Years & Years & Years
Years & Years released three albums but the last one was really only Olly going further under the Y&Y name. His most recent single A Very Bad Fun Idea was released as by "Olly Alexander (Years & Years)" as is Eurovision entry Dizzy.
The official Malmö album does not mention the (Years & Years) bit.

Years & Years first hit Desire charted in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands but their biggest international hit is King (2015) from the album Communion. That went top 10 in the same countries and also in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and Australia.
Other known hits are Shine, Eyes Shut and If You're Over Me.

On a personal note: I have been a big fan of Years & Years ever since their first international hit Desire. So I'm exited.
He is one of two artists this year to have sung with Kylie, but so far the only one who did it with Elton and with Pet Shop Boys. So now you know.

Moldova - Natalia Barbu - In The Middle

digital release image
2007 Eurovision star Natalia Barbu gets another chance to represent Moldova in the contest with the song In The Middle.
She wrote the song herself with Khris Richards.
The digital single was released on January 19.

There are some tiny differences between the original version and the one on the Malmö album. (See comments, very well spotted "Top 17")

Natalia Burbu competed in the 2007 Helsinki contest with the song Fight and she finished 10th in both the (one) semi and the final.
See below for some more trivia on Natalia's 2007 entry and another National Final.

Moldova's Etapa Națională 2024 had its final on February 17.
The first selection of 32 31 30 songs was performed at a broadcasted live audition and a jury chose 11 entries to go to the final.
Malmö veteran Aliona Moon withdrew but moved on to the juries.
Several songs have been released as digital singles. Check your playlists at Spotify or Youtube. This TRM YT playlist has videos including all live auditions.

2007 Fight
From the Helsinki Collection Files:
Fight was only Moldova's third entry and the broadcaster didn't have much funds. The story was that they would only pay for Natalia's costs if she would make it to the top 10, otherwise she would have to pay for it herself (with some help from Catmusic). But in the end she did just enough to keep her out of financial troubles, fisnishing 10th in the final. (and later marrying a millionaire).

In 2013 Natalia had a song titled Confession in the Romanian selection. But she didn't make it to the final finishing 13th in the first semi final.

Finland - Windows95Man - No Rules!

Visual artist and DJ Windows95Man won the Finnish UMK with the song No Rules! written by Teemu Keisteri (= Windows95man), Jussi Roine and Henri Piispanen.
Henri Piispanen is the main vocalist of the song and W95 does the shouting, bouncing, running around and some epic pyrotechnic spinning in correct length denim shorts.

No Rules! was released as a digital single on January 16.
The Spa Mix was released on April 19, they could have called it the Gregorian Chant mix. Nice one.

On April 26 the classical version was released. Recorded with the Tapiola Sinfonietta.

Windows95
No Rules!? The EBU has some though and they are very clear about product placement in the Song Contest and even though the Windows95 computer operating system is long out of stock, Windows is still a brand. Teemu knows and will change the name and the t-shirts for Malmö.

Finland's national selection Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK, New Music Competition) happened on February 10. The seven songs participating have been revealed one by one (two to go at the time of writing).

France - Slimane - Mon Amour

The first chosen song we heard for Malmö is Mon Amour by Slimane.
France surprised us by releasing the song on November 8, just a day after the announcement.

Mon Amour is written by Slimane Nebchi himself with Yaacov Salah and Meïr Salah.

A remix, the Meya rework, was released on April 11.
The version on the official Malmö has some minor mastering changes to the original version. Mainly the orchestra is lower in the second half and the voice and piano are more upfront. Any thoughts?
(See comments, thanks Sander)

A 3CD release by Slimane titled Essentiel Eurovision is announced for release on May 10.

Spain - Nebulossa - Zorra

The Spanish entry for Malmö is Zorra by Nebulossa (María Bas & Mark Dasousa)
Zorra was released a s a digital single on December 15 (Atomic records, 2023)
The duo wrote the song themselves. Zorra (repeated 23 times) translates as Bitch which probably why the digital outlets have the song down as explicit.

Nebulossa entered the San Marino castings in 2023 but didn't get past the early stages of the complicated process.
Funny coincidence: Spain sends a band who didn't make it in San Marino last year, San Marino sends a band that didn't make it in Spain last year.

A remix was released on February 9. It is credited to Fernando Moreno ft Nebulossa and is not on Nebulossa's usual label. This has now been removed so it's safe to say it wasn't official.

Another (official) version / remix was released on April 5, it is a duet version with Gloria Trevi

The version on the official Malmö is slightly different and cuts off a little bit of the intro. (also see comments)

Versions:

Albania - Besa - TiTAN

The 62nd Festivali i Këngës (Fest 62) happened. Like last year a seperate televote decided the song to proceed to Eurovision. And also like last year, it wasn't the overall (read: jury) winner who got the ticket.

Besa Kokëdhima won the televote with her song Zemrën n'dorë (Heart in hand) and left Mal Retkoceri crying in his beer. His song Çmendur (Crazy) ended first with the jury (and was proclaimed the winner) whereas our Besa didn't even get to the jury top 3.

For the Eurovision version we got a revamp in English and it is called TiTAN.
The video of this new version was released on March 10. The digital single was released on March 11. (also see comments)
On April 19 we got an audio release (digital Spotify "single") of a live FiK 62 version. (through RTSH, Albanian TV, the other versions are self released by Besa)
All 21 finalists have their live versions released as separate tracks on Spotify (all on 19-4, through RTSH)

! Don't try this at home !
Zemrën n'dorë is written by Besa herself with Kledi Bahiti and Rozana Radi. For the English version Petrit Sefaj is also credited.
The original song was released as a digital single on December 19 (Besa Music) You will find her work in your favourite digital outlets under the name Besa.

Lithuania - Silvester Belt - Luktelk

digital release image
Lithuania will be represented in Malmö by Silvester Belt
His song Luktelk is written by Silvestras Beltė (Sylvester himself), Džesika Šyvokaitė and Elena Jurgaitytė.

The song, sung in Lithuanian, was released as a digital single on January 11.
Luktelk loosely translates as wait, hold on for a moment.
For the version on the Malmö album the song has been rearranged a bit, best noticed around the 2:10 mark.

Silvestras Beltė tried to get to Junior Eurovision in 2010 and his entry Pi Pa Po ended 8th in the final.

Lithuania never disappoints when it come to their selections for Eurovision. This year we had 6 shows with a final on the 17th of February.

There were 39 songs competing and we find some Eurovision stars among the fold: The Roop (2020 & 2021), Vilija (Matačiūnaitė) and Andrius Pojavis who has been to Malmö before.
The Roop finished 3rd with Simple Joy, Vilija and Andrius were not so lucky, they each finished last in their semi.
