Austria - Kaleen - We Will Rave

On January 16 ORF announced Kaleen as the singer for Malmö.

Her song We Will Rave was released on March 1.

The songwriters are Jimmy 'Joker' Thörnfeldt (who co-wrote this little bop for Loreen), Anderz Wrethhov, Julie Agaard and Thomas Stengaard.

Kaleen (Marie-Sophie Kreissl) released her debut album Stripping Feelings on September 22 (2023)

Croatia - Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim

Rim Tim Tagi Dim by Baby Lasagna is the Croatian entry for the 2024 Eurovision.

The song is written by Baby Lasagna a.k.a. Marko Purišić himself.

He is the only one this year with a song written by just one songwriter, himself.

Rim Tim Dagi Tim was released as a digital single on January 12.

Initially Baby Lasagna was not in the line up for DORA 2024 but he was the first reserve. When singer Sza Sza withdrew he took over and now he's going to Malmö.

As the guitarist of Manntra Marko Purišić fisnished fourth in the DORA 2019 competition with In The Shadows.

DORA 2024, Croatia's selection for Malmö, had their final on February 25 with semi's on February 22 and 23. 
There were 24 songs in the competition. 
Underpants Rockers Let3 had another go and heartthrob Damir Kedžo, who was chosen for the ill fated Rotterdam contest in 2020, also gave it another try. Let3 finished 3rd with a little help from Severina (Eurovision 2006) and Damir finished 4th.

Belgium - Mustii - Before The Party's Over

The first name we got for 2024 was announced as early as August 30. Mustii (Thomas Mustin) is RTBF's choice for Malmö. (RTBF is the Wallonian broadcaster)

The song is titled Before The Party's Over and was released on Februari 20.

Before The Party's Over is written by Arianna Damato, Benoit Leclercq, Charlotte Clark, Nina Sampermans, Pierre Dumoulin and Thomas Mustin (Mustii) himself.

Denmark - SABA - Sand

Saba (Anna Saba Lykke Oehlenschlæger) is the winner of the Danish Melodi Grand Prix with the song Sand.

The song is written by Jonas Thander, Melanie Gabriella Hayrapetian and PIL (Pil Kalinka Nygaard Jeppesen).

Sand was released as a digital single on January 25.

Denmark's Melodi Grand Prix was held on on February 17. 

The songs were revealed and released on January 25.

We had one returning Eurovision Star among the fold: Basim, who came 9th with the home entry in Copenhagen in 2014.

Ukraine - alyona alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria

Ukraine's Vidbir, the selection for Malmö, was on the 3rd of February but because a technical problem with the voting app the results came a day later.

Teresa & Maria by alyona alyona (no capitals) and Jerry Heil was declared the winner and the entry for Malmö.

The song is written by Aliona Savranenko (Альо́на Савране́нко = alyona alyona), Yana Shemayeva (Я́на Шема́єва = Jerry Heil)  Anton Chilibi and Ivan Klymenko.

It was released as a digital single on January 11.

The song is in Ukrainian with one (repeated) line in English. 

Jerry Heil entered the Ukrainian selection before:

2020 Vegan (6th place)

2023 When God shut the door (3rd) (Vidbir was held in december 2022)

For songwriter Ivan Klymenko Teresa & Maria is the 6th Vidbir entry. His most known being Stefania. That one finished 2nd in the Vidbir selection but went on to win the Turin Eurovision in 2022. But that's another story.
