Isaak won the German selection for Malmö.
His song Always On The Run is written by Isaak Guderian (himself), Greg Taro, Kevin Lehr and Leo Salminen.
The original version is too long so it had to be edited for the official Malmö album and they took the opportunity to replace the word shit with shhh.
On May 10 Isaak released an EP with five versions.
The version listed as 'Eurovision 2024 - Germany' appears to be the Eurovision version but they re-introduced the Shit
The instrumental has some backing vocals but less than the karaoke version off the official karaoke album. See versions below.

There was one returning Eurovision star, Max Mutzke. He ended 8th in 2004 in Istanbul with Can't Wait Until Tonight. It gave him a #1 single and album in Germany.
8 songs were announced first, a 9th one came from the 'docutainment' series Ich will zum ESC (I want to go to ESC) hosted and coached by Conchita Wurst and Rea Harvey. The deciding show for this last ticket was on Februari 8.
