- Note: Info in each country's section has the tracks as karaoke when there's backing vocal support, it qualifies as instrumental even if there's an minor ooh, aah or hey in the track.

Latvia - Dons - Hollow

16 - 64 pts / 7 - 72 pts in semi 2
Dons is the winner of Supernova 2024 and represents Latvia in Malmö with the song Hollow. Hollow is written by Arturs Šingirejs (= Dons himself) with Kate Northrop and Liam Geddes.

Hollow was released as a digital single on January 1 but was first released in its Latvian version Lauzto Šķēpu Karaļvalsts (Kindom of broken spears) on September 11.
This version (strangely?) has two more songwriters: Mikus Frišfelds and Kate Rudzinska.
This version is also available on Dons new CD album Laiks (Time) released on August 1. (Universal) Available here.

The instrumental and sped up version were released on March 28.
The acoustic version with Mārcis Auziņš on guitar was released on April 30

Dons has tried to make it to Eurovision before. In 2010 My Religion Is Freedom ended 2nd and in 2014 Pēdējā Vēstule (Last letter) did the same.
In 2013 he was a judge on Latvia's New Talent Factory (Jaunā Talantu Fabrikā) where he coached the eventual winner Aminata Savadogo, you know her.

Latvia had its Supernova final on February 10. On February 3 15 songs  participated in a pre-selection with 10 going forward to the final.
